User mentiones

💡
Please note that mentioning users and assigning a task to user are two separate features. Click here to read more about assigning a task to user.
💡
Please note that Tick is committed to GDPR compliance and PII safety. Therefore, user mentions are stored only as the Atlassian account ID (a non-PII identifier, for example,557058:d8f08920-1142-4201-934c-c9ce8f6921bb ) of a user.

User picker

Just like with a JIRA issue, you can mention any other JIRA user in your project within your task content. While in edit mode, enter an at sign (@) anywhere in your task content to automatically open a user picker to help you search for a user, as demonstrated in the image below.

Alternative

Alternatively, you can manually enter the desired JIRA user ID into your task content without using the user picker. Use the following format: @JiraUserid. For example, @557058:d8f08920-1142-4201-934c-c9ce8f6921bb.If the entered JIRA user ID is valid, the name of that user will be displayed(even on the edit mode) otherwise, it will be rendered as a string without showing any error. The images below demonstrates an example(for the jira user id 557058:d8f08920-1142-4201-934c-c9ce8f6921bb).

Email notifications

Unfortunately, in the initial version of Tick, we do not support sending notifications for user mentions. However, this feature will be available in the fourth quarter of 2024 as part of Tick's quarterly roadmap.
